Youth Mental Health First Aid Certification Details: Training Date: Sunday, March 21, 2021 - 3:00 PM ET - 8:00 PM ET 6.5 hour virtual training - This 4-hour virtual training will refresh the skills of Mental Health First Aiders and MHFA Champions by: Renewing their skills; Updating their knowledge of the mental health support currently available; Providing an opportunity to practise applying the Mental Health First Aid action plan Mental Health First Aid is a rigorous, full-day training that consists of instruction, role-play, and collaborative work. Instruction is available in a variety of formats including in-person, virtual, and blended. Upon completion of the training, participants receive certification. Mental Health First Aid USA is an 8-hour training to teach participants how to help someone who is developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis.
All times are CDT. The training includes a written exam and evaluates each candidate’s ability to present the Mental Health First Aid course to a variety of audiences.
